I.S. Berry writes about the things that torment and plague us, that won't let us go. She worked as a spy for the CIA for six years, including one year in wartime Baghdad. Her debut novel, The Peacock and the Sparrow, about a spy caught in the crosswinds of the Arab Spring and the questions that haunt him, was published in May 2023 by Simon & Schuster.
