Phillip Sitter

Phillip Sitter is a journalist and writer born and raised in northwestern Illinois. Phillip earned a bachelor of arts degree in political science and Catholic social tradition from the University of Notre Dame. The Wrath-Bearing Tree is the first publication his poetry has been seen in. He did not finish his master’s degree program in journalism at the University of Missouri but it is where he made his first connections to Ukraine through friendship. Phillip’s first visit to Ukraine was in October 2022. He is currently a reporter with the Des Moines Register in Des Moines, Iowa.
