Sofiia Tiapkina
Sofiia Tiapkina is a young writer from south-eastern Ukraine, where all her family remains right now. She is a current senior at Northfield Mount Hermon School in Massachusetts. Her work appeared in the Voices of Ukraine: Impressions Around a War anthology by the International Human Rights Art Festival. Sofiia's writing explores the anguish, resilience, and loneliness of Ukrainian people as Russia's war tears their land and communities apart.
